The ASA Midwest tour is back at Iowa Speedway for their annual stop on the 7/8th mile high banked oval in Newton IA on Friday Sep 14th. Its the fourth time the ASA Midwest tour has raced here.
Tim Schendel won in 2008, MN driver Jonathan Eilen finished 2nd, Matt Kenseth third and Kyle Busch lead some laps before falling out with motor problems. This was a big step in Iowa Speedway history as it helped them attract NASCAR to their facility, 17,000 fans were in attendance for this ASA Midwest tour event.
Chris Wimmer (photo above) won in 2009, Tim Schendel had the lead and dropped back in the closing laps with a low tire.
Jeff Choquette won in 2011 with Ross Kenseth in tow, Schendel finished third.

All three of those winning drivers are entered in the 2012 version of this race titled the "3M 150." 39 cars were on the entry list including Rusty's son Steven Wallace (photo top), MN drivers Nick Panitzke, Jonathan Eilen, Jerick Johnson (photo below), Joel Theisen, and Ross Zumbach.
