2011 Speedtalk Stats

Speedtalk on 1360 wants to thank race fans for another great year celebrating our favorite sport.  2011 marked the 20th year of covering Motorsports for both Jason Searcy and Dean Reller, the last three years on KRWC radio in Buffalo.

2011

Daytona 500 Special

"Speedtalk on 1360" will be doing a special Daytona 500 radio show Saturday Feb 19th 10-11am on KRWC 1360am radio and LIVE on the web at http://www.krwc1360.com/

Jordan Bianchi from http://www.theracinggeek.com/ will be reporting LIVE from Daytona, he will join Jason Searcy and Dean Reller will all the up to the minute NASCAR news and commentary.

We will talk about that sad day ten years ago when Dale Earnhardt died, and how the sport has changed in the decade since his passing.

We will discuss all the off season changes in NASCAR.  The rules, the cars, the fuel, the teams, the points, so much has changed in just a few months.  How will that affect the racing in 2011?

We will make our picks for the Daytona race and also rank the top drivers of 2011 so you will be ready for your fantasy NASCAR draft.

Dan Plan, Mike Dimmick, Susie Wiegele, Mr Mom and Chris Hawkey all will release their 2011 predictions as well on the show, dont miss it!

Lots has changed on the local scene as well, we will preview the upcoming ASA Midwest tour series and talk about what is new for 2011 on the short tracks in Minnesota.

Michael Wray on Speedtalk

Long time Rally racer Michael Wray from Buffalo will be on "Speedtalk on 1360" with Jason and Dean on Saturday May 29th 10-11am on KRWC and http://www.krwc1360.com/

Michael will be racing in the CHUMP CAR endurance road race at Brainerd International Raceway on June 5th & 6th.

Speedtalk May 1st

Great North Legends driver Jake "the Snake" Varnum will be on "Speedtalk on 1360" with Jason and Dean Saturday (May 1st) from 10-11am on KRWC and http://www.krwc1360.com/

He will talk Legends racing and also his work constructing a "Formula Car" at Minnesota State University in Mankato.

Molly Rhoads on Speedtalk

Long time racer Molly Rhoads will be on "Speedtalk on 1360" with Jason and Dean this Saturday 10-11am April 17th on KRWC radio and http://www.krwc1360.com/

Molly started racing back in 1998 driving her brother AJ's Sportsmen car at Elko Speedway. We go to know Molly when she raced at I-94 Raceway and Fergus Falls raceway beginning in 2001. She raced Street stock, Super stock, Limited Late Model and then finally in the Super Late Model divisions. She earned many rookie-0f-the-year awards, sportsman of the year and most popular driver awards.

At I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre we would arrange "driver autograph sessions" during intermission and we had to make sure Molly had a table all to herself because she would draw such a long line of fans.

In 2004 Molly was the first female driver to ever win a Late Model race at Raceway Park in Shakopee. She was chosen as one of only 16 drivers to try out for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program in 2006.

After helping Bryan Roach in the pits the last couple of years, Molly is back and looking to compete for a Super Late Model championship at Raceway Park in 2010.

Matt Panure on Speedtalk

2009 ASA Midwest tour announcer Matt Panure will talk with Jason and Dean on "Speedtalk on 1360" Saturday morning (April 3rd).

Matt will be announcing for the Mid-Am Stock cars again this year along with doing the weekly show at WIR and Norway.

Jordan Bianchi will be along to talk about the exciting Martinsville NASCAR race and Dan Plan will join us with all the local racing news as we preview the 2010 season.
