The RETURN of Speed Talk

Race Announcers Jason Searcy and Dean Reller have worked together doing a Motor Sports themed radio show since 2001, they now have returned with an on-line version of their classic show Speed Talk.

Possible return of long running Motorsports show

After a pandemic induced hiatus, Jason and Dean have reunited for a possible return of the long time Motorsports show Speed Talk. Here is a recently posted video on YouTube.

Speed Talk on 1360 Radio was a fixture Saturday mornings on KRWC AM 1360 in Buffalo MN from 2009-2019. 50+ drivers and motorsports personalities were interviewed each year by Jason and Dean, Dan Plan from the Midwest Racing Connection and Jordan Bianchi who is now employed as a National NASCAR reporter on the Athletic joined the show weekly.

Previously Jason and Dean also co-hosted a radio and TV show from I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre (MN) from 2001-2009 on various stations including KASM, KMSR and 1390 "the Fan" in St Cloud (MN).

Before that Jason hosted the Speedway Show on KMSR radio from 1991-1997.

Speed Talk on 1360 Returns for a 10th year

Speed Talk on 1360 will return for a 10th year on KRWC radio in Buffalo MN. The LIVE racing themed radio show will again be heard every Saturday morning from 10-11am beginning April 21st - September 29th 2018.. The two long-time hosts of the show will return as well: Dean Reller, who is an announcer at Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids (MN), and Jason Searcy who is an announcer at Elko Speedway in Elko (MN).

Speed Talk on 1360 radio will have full race coverage with interviews from our local tracks, also one-on-one interviews will drivers racing ARCA, Indy Car, Camping World Trucks and the Xfinity series. Over the years we have interviewed many of the biggest names in racing including: Rusty Wallace, Harry Gant, Erik Jones, Bobby Labonte, Trevor Bayne, Ty Dillon, Ryan Blaney, Michael Waltrip, Kenny Wallace, Daniel Suarez, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Joseph Newgarden, Scott Dixon, Helio Castroneves and many others.

BUFFOMANTE DOMINATES TRANS AM TA2 RACE AT BRAINERD

BRAINERD, MN (July 2, 2017) – If there was such a thing as a "perfect race" for Tony Buffomante, this would have been it as Buffomante won the Trans Am TA2 Ryan Companies Muscle Car Challenge at Brainerd International Raceway.

After having been the fastest car in all of the practices and then qualified for the pole with a Track Record lap of 1:29.562 seconds, Buffomante led the field to the green in the 40 lap race on Brainerd International Raceway's 2.5 mile Competition Road Course. From the wave of the green, Buffomante took control of the race staying ahead of Gar Robinson and teammate Shane Lewis. The cautionless race played into Buffomante's favor as he held off every challenge that Robinson threw at him, leading every lap in taking the win.

"I don't know how much he had left," said Buffomante following the race. "We had a little bit left, but I didn't want to see that traffic at the end, but that's TA2 racing. It's hard to get away from people in this series. The series is so close, Ford vs Chevy this weekend and fortunately the Mustang ended up on top."

Points leader Robinson chased Buffomante from the start, but despite several challenges and a small opportunity to capitalize on some lapped traffic near the end, he would have to settle for second.

"He (Buffomonte) had a nice car today," said Robinson afterwards. "I think both our cars were equally matched. It came down to who made mistakes and Tony didn't make mistakes and I got to try and minimalize mine. It was a clean hard race all the way. I thought it was going to get interesting with lapped traffic, but we'll have to wait until Mid-Ohio to do it again."

Shane Lewis started third and maintained that position the entire race, finishing a considerable distance behind the leaders.

This event will be televised on CBS Sports Network on Saturday August 12th at 11am
