John Seasock (photo with Jason above) driving Grinder wins the racing portion of the Monter Jam event at the Metrodome on Saturday January 21st.  His truck was on display at Advance Auto Parts in Buffalo on Friday afternoon before the show. The ASA Midwest tour is back in Minnesota and racing at the famed 1/4 mile at Raceway Park in Shakopee. Jonathan Eilen (#77) is coming off a big win last weekend at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids IA.  It was a sweet win for Jonathan because one year ago he had a terrible wreck at that track and spent most of 2010 recovering from his injuries. Ricky Stenhouse Jr won at Iowa Speedway in front of 48,271 fans on their feet, sliding across the finish line as he blocked his team mate Carl Edwards just before the finish line. Stenhouse said his car was having ignition or motor problems and "cutting in and out," the last few laps of the race.  He was driving with his mirror down the front stretch to make sure Edwards couldn't get around him.

The NASCAR John Deere Dealers 250 Nationwide series race at Iowa Speedway is scheduled to begin with driver intro's at 12:30am and green flag at 1pm (central). The race is televised on ABC TV. Hideaway Speedway is an awesome track just South of Isanti (MN). This track races RC (radio controlled) cars at crazy speeds around this 1/10th mile high banked asphalt track.  When watching the races up close, the cars are just a blur as they race side by side at speeds nearing 50mph.  They also do full pit stops for fuel on the pit lane (photo above). The annual Red Bull New Years eve event on ESPN has been cancelled this year because of an injury to Longville MN stud snowmobile racer Levi LaVallee. 10-13-10 The 41st annual Oktoberfest was a big success for MN drivers.  Danny Fredrickson took home the trophy in the ASA Midwest tour finale.  In picture above Dan, David and his crew changed out a bad alternator just before the main event on Sunday.   MN drivers grabbed four of the top 5 spots in the ASA Midwest tour race on Sunday.  Including Jacob Goede wrecking during the "Dick Trickle 99"

10-10-2010 Down at the Legends National Championship at Langley Speedway in Hampton (VA), two Minnesota drivers finished in the "top 10." Tim Brockhouse finished 9th in the Masters division.  Brian Keske finished 9th and Matt Osdiek got 17th in the Young-Lions division.  Dirk Henry got wrecked in the B-Main in the Pro-division and Ryan Johnson blew up his motor and finished 20th.

Oct 2 2010 Chris "cruiser" Marek won the first ASA Midwest Sportsman tour championship after finishing third at Elko Speedway on Saturday (Oct  2nd). Marek was leading the point standings over Jay Kalbus by only 26pts going into the final race of the season.  Kalbus did not enter the race at Elko, "I was let down that Kalbus wasn't here, I wanted to try and beat him the right way" said Marek.

The ASA Midwest Sportsman series will crown their inagural champion on Saturday night (Oct 2) at Elko Speedway. Two drivers will battle for the top spot. Chris "cruiser" Marek comes into the race with four wins under his belt and a 26pt lead. Marek also won the first ASA Midwest Sportsman race at Elko on Aug 28th.
